All of these were taken on our last day of shooting. It was bittersweet for sure— while it felt great to be done, we also had such an intense and unique experience— and then suddenly it just ends. What a ride this film has been and it all culminated with watching Joaquin walk up on that stage this weekend. Thanks again to the entire cast and crew. And especially the fans, for seeing through all the noise and showing up. #joker #illtellyouwhatyouget 📸 @nikotavernise
He also congratulated Phoenix for the Oscar for the best actor on February 9 for his role, playing 'Arthur Fleck', the villain in 'Joker'. "What a trip this movie has been and it all culminated when he saw Joaquin get on that stage [at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, USA] over the weekend," he added.
Finally, he thanked all the cast and crew that worked on the filming of the tape, as well as the fans. 'Joker' has become the highest grossing adult film in history with more than 1 billion dollars raised worldwide, when its budget was 55 million.
