The photograph of a huge skeleton found on a beach in Aberdeen (Scotland, United Kingdom) has not only baffled locals, but has also fueled rumors around the nature of the bones and their possible provenance.

The image was shared days ago on Facebook by the local media Fubar News and captures what appear to be the remains of an animal, whose spine of great proportions stands out on the sand. It follows that the finding could be possible after the bones were exposed with the recent passage of the Ciara storm through the Scottish territory, with winds of 40 kilometers per hour.

The snapshot quickly went viral and generated an entertaining discussion where, among jokes, teasing and rocambolesque conjectures, the users of the social network tried to guess what it was. Some did not take in thinking that it could be the corpse of 'Nessie', the legendary creature that since time immemorial is believed to inhabit the waters of Loch Ness.

Among the hypotheses that pointed out that the skeletal remains belonged to a dragon or another fantastic creature, more sensible Internet users emerged that suggested that the mysterious animal is a whale, a killer whale or a dolphin.
