Dozens of people are struggling to get off the roller coasterApr 272021
Employees of the theme park had to climb up to 60 meters to evacuate those affected by a side ramp of the attraction.
Visitors to an amusement park in the city of Blackpool (England, United Kingdom) had to develop climbing skills to descend this Sunday from the top of a roller coaster of more than 60 meters high, called The Big One (The Big One) and considered the highest in the country, as its mechanism is damaged, local media report.
Employees of the thematic enclosure went up to each cabin to escort and assist the affected people. "Some said that the descent was more terrifying than the attraction itself. As much as some newspapers dramatize the story, these things happen and users were completely safe and protected at all times," says a statement from the company.
Meanwhile, some of those who suffered the failure later shared their experience on the networks, accumulating millions of views. Thus, a 'tiktoker' nicknamed geo connor published a series of videos in which she filmed herself and the rest of the users as they went down a side ramp of the roller coaster. Another of the recordings shows the height from which those affected descend, as well as the perspective seen from there.
The Big One was opened to the public in 1994, under the name Pepsi Max. Back then it was given for the tallest and steepest roller coaster in the world.
