A potentially dangerous incident was captured in incredible drone videos showing a shark swimming right under a surfer in Florida.

On Monday, Drew Duncan, a SkyWired Drones pilot, was operating the device in an attempt to record his son Cole heading towards another surfer, Alex Vontevenar, when the latter was approached by a shark.

"The waves were small so I thought I would check for marine life," Duncan said, revealing that there were about 6-8 sharks several meters long. "I just did what I could to keep the camera steady," she confessed.

While Duncan called the area one of the places with the most sharks present, he said he was not concerned about the surfer. "If we had ever been on the shark menu, we would never have entered the water," he explained.

"It's always worth the risk doing something you like!", Vontevenar wrote on his Instagram account when posting the videos of his peculiar encounter.
